When the enemy does something that breaks your plan, the indicators are usually already in the system — on a screen, in a feed, sitting in a report. What's missing is anything that assembles them into the recognition that a decision is now required, so that recognition lags the event, sometimes by hours, sometimes by days. And even once a watchstander catches it — a target of opportunity that fits the commander's priorities — a major still spends forty minutes chasing six cells across as many chat windows to build the read, and twenty more walking it up the chain. By the time the commander says go, the window has closed.

This isn't hypothetical. It's the documented pattern of the last twenty years: minutes lost on 9/11, days lost after Katrina, a 2024 coalition missile defense that held only because a four-star flew in and years of manual pre-staging happened to be in place. I'm building the layer that closes the gap — a system that surfaces the opportunity early, assembles the cross-domain picture, and hands the commander decision-ready options with their downstream effects, collapsing the staffing to minutes while the commander still makes the call. It's not a slide deck: the architecture is real, the prototype interfaces are already built, and it's in development toward a testable alpha.

Naval Academy. Surface warfare. Joint Staff. US Army. DARPA. NATO. Every seat had a different view of the same gap.

The people working on C2 interoperability are not the problem. The operators, the engineers, the program managers, the coalition partners — they are talented, experienced, and working hard. The problem is that no one gave them a common information model to work from. Without one, every system solves its own piece correctly and the seams between them fail anyway.

That's not an integration problem. It's an architecture problem. It has an architecture solution. This is what thirty years of pattern recognition across every domain, every level of command, and every seat at the table looks like when it finally comes together.
